Nothing like lunch’s meal and I'll go buy groceries if I need something also I want it to be nutrious and healthy and good and tasting good! Something for 2 girls 11 and 12! A meal for 2
A: Easy Chicken and Dumplings
2 tablespoons butter
1 large yellow onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 pound boneless chicken thighs (or breasts)
1 cup low-sodium chicken broth
1 (10 ounce) package frozen mixed vegetables
1/2 teaspoon dried sage
1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
3 tablespoons shortening
2/3 cup buttermilk
Melt butter in a large saucepan or pot over medium heat. Saute onion and garlic for 5 minutes, then stir in chicken and saute until browned, about 7 to 10 minutes. Stir in broth, vegetables, sage and thyme; mix all together and let simmer over medium heat while preparing the dumplings.
In a medium bowl, mix flour and parsley together. Add shortening and stir mixture into coarse, mealy dough. Stir in buttermilk, a little bit at a time, until dough holds together and is soft but firm. (If needed, add up to 2 tablespoons more buttermilk).
Bring chicken mixture to a boil over medium high heat and drop round spoonfuls of dumpling mixture on top (do not let dumplings touch each other). Reduce heat to low, cover pot and let simmer for 10 to 12 minutes.

What's the best Life insurance out there?
Q: I’m looking for something that cost less yet the company sure to stay in market for at least 30 years.
I have hypertension; I’m looking for a company that doesn’t have high premium when you have that problem.
A: Your best bet is to go in to speak to a local insurance rep, and conduct a needs analysis. You may even want to go through this evaluation process with a couple of different insurers, as it will help to provide you with a picture of what your total insurance need really is.
Following that, take a look at the options available for you. Some people will recommend going with term, others will recommend going with whole life, I personally like to see a combination of the two as it will usually ensure the best coverage at the best price.
Term insurance falls off completely, leaving you unprotected after a set period of time. This means to you that if you buy a 30 year policy and die 31 years from that time, your family gets nothing. This is the cheapest way to go, but it is also the most risky.
Whole life insurance costs more, but promises to pay your family no matter when you die as long as you pay the premiums.
As an example, I found that my personal need today was about $450,000. I knew that after my house was paid off and my kids were through college, this need would be much less and only include paying down any remaining debt and burial costs. So, I chose to pick up $350,000 in 30-year term insurance and $100,000 in a defined payment duration whole life policy, that allows me to stop paying after I reach 65 years of age, but the policy stays in force until I reach 121 years of age.
Speak to a local rep and take it from there.

How do I send a picture from my phone to myspace?
Q: How do I send a pic from my phone to myspace?
A: I don't know what kind of phone you have, but I have the Rumor.
What I did is go to the picture in the albums on my phone and
do "Options"
And click "Send"
Then it has three little bars where I can type
Like..:
Name:
Phone:
Email:
Name would be someone in your contacts to send picture mail
Phone would be to send a picture mail to a phone number
Email would be send picture mail to whatever you type in there.
I type in my email in the Email part, leaving Name and Phone blank.
Check your email and then you'll get an email with the picture attached.
Right click the pic and choose "Save Picture As" or whatever
and save it.

How to start a paper about your life?
Q: I have to write a paper about myself and i don't know how to start it, my English teacher wants us to talk about what we have been through because she know everybody life is not perfect, so how should I start my first paragraph?
A: One idea- start with a life changing moment or decision- getting your license, a distant trip- something that made you see things differently- and go back from there.
Do NOT start with "I was born in..." truly uninteresting!
You will have to do this same kind of thing to get into a university, so your teacher is preparing you for that.

Why does my pencil eyeliner always smudge?
Q: when i put on pencil eyeliner on my top eyelid on the inside, it alwayyyss smudges and within a few hours my under eyes will be covered in black smudge. i like using pencil eyeliner though and i like how it looks, how can i prevent these smudges?
i have very oily skin so that might be one of the problems, any suggestions for how to prevent smudging?
A: Oh god, I totally know what you mean. I am actually writing about it for my blog RIGHT NOW! haha. Well it truly depends on what brand you use, btw which brand are you using right now? I had a very similar experience with Stila's Kajal eyeliner. Before that I used to wear Clinique's Quickliner for eyes, it would never smudge, however it isnt as dark as Sitla's. As of now, I've discovered a wonderful liner: Mac's Penultimate liner, it is kinda a mix between a pen/sharpie and liquid eyeliner. It stays on forever, it is very dark and it never smudges! It also helps if you use an eye primer before you apply your eyeliner!
If you have more specific questions or any follow ups I would be super happy to help you!

How do you make blue eyes pop?
Q: I have bright blue eyes with a hint of Grey green And I don't know what color make up to use to make them pop...
I use
Eye shadow
Eye liner
mascara
blush
pretty much everything
I use brown eye liner on bottom and black on top
and just a light champaign color for eyeshadow...
And brown Mascara
A: Wearing blue color clothes does help bring out the blue in your eyes but since you can't wear blue everyday makeup can help. Neutral color eye shadows, browns, tans, creams, light pinks, champagne is good as well work well with blue eyes. Brown mascara is good, but so is a black sapphire, like the new covergirl eyelights. Try wearing a platinum eyeliner or something else with a blue tint. But not blue eyeliner! Both Almay and Cover girl now make entire lines dedicated to certain eye colors so you can try them.

SKIN CARE HELP!!! I don’t know what else to do?
Q: I don't have acne. I wash my face every morning and night and I don't have pimples. I have big pores and my face is red and looks irritated. I don't have roseate, but it looks red around my eyes. I moisturize and I’m on birth control. Any advice on making my face look better? I am so self conscious and I hate my finance seeing me without make up on. I’m 21, I drink lots of water, and I eat healthy. I’m also on prescription benzaclin and I have tried proactive
also inexpensive tips please.
A: Is your skin irritated and blotchy? Want to know how to get rid of red skin and clear up these imperfections? Well, look no further. There are ways to remove the redness, sometimes associated with psoriasis. Follow the steps below to figure out how to get a better complexion in a timely way.
Step 1: Do you have any friends or family with a similar problem? Ask them what has worked in their cases and give those methods a try. If you are still red in the face, read on.
Step 2: Give yourself exposure to sunlight and water. It has been shown that about 80 percent of people who enjoy daily sunlight see improvement in their complexion. Water is also known to clear up complexions if consumed in large amounts.
Step 3: Try balneotherapy, a water-based treatment used in Europe and Asia that uses natural thermal springs, hot springs, mineral water and sea water. This technique is generally used at spas.
Step 4: Climatotherapy is another technique that can improve your skin. This a combination of sunlight and water, like the ocean or other water bodies, used to treat psoriasis. It uses natural elements to help with the problem.

My hair is really dry and damage HELP!!!!!!!!!!?
Q: I straighten my hair way too much I have curly hair and I hate it.
I want to take a break from straighten it. I already tried giving my hair
a break for almost a week but every time I wash it its leaves it
so ruff lol like dry and hard and gross and chunk of my hair falls out
gahh I want to shave it all.
I heard there was this new dove its red and it’s for damage hair
and for people who uses hot irons with there hair or something.
Has anyone tried it yet? Does it work? I’m thinking on buying it :)
but idk.
But anyhow what should I do SHAVE ALL MY HAIR?
Or what? is there a product out there so I can use
that will treat my hair and fix it and stop making my hair falls out grr
help por favor<3
A: First off, it sounds like you need a good cut. You can get a treatment at a salon to help this sort of thing too; I have such dry hair, very thick too, and it tangles so easily!
So yeah..good cut, lay off colours and straightness for a while. Even blow drying without a good protection spray is hell for your locks. After two shampoos and a 3 minute miracle mask from Aussie, I use a wide toothed comb and gently brush out tangles, leave to dry naturally a bit, and then spray with heat-defense spray and blow dry whilst brushing with a paddle brush. Leave natural.
Or. Try plaiting your hair when it's wet or damp and sleeping on it, this way you've got a cute girly style and it hasn't damaged your hair at all!
The best products I find are rich fruity serums from Aussie, Garnier and Bed-Head. Tigi is good too!

How can you tell difference between girl and boy pants/shorts?
Q: Besides saying that fabric is thinner and color is dull, because I have no idea how to tell the difference of that. Also, I can’t really tell the crotch thing, so is there another way to tell the difference? Like the zipper or the pockets?
A: Usually guys’ pants/shorts when they are Levi’s are button up jeans because with a zipper you run the risk of getting caught in the zipper. As for shorts - the length on the pant leg and short leg are longer and the crotch area is longer too. For a girl's pant leg or short leg - the length is usually much smaller. Try them on and see how they look - if it looks like you have a bubble in the crotch most likely they are boy pants.

How do you feel about voluminous hair?
Q: Well, do you prefer people with flat or volumized hair?
What do you think of girls with volumized hair?
Suggestion: Volumized. I hate flat hair. Like, it doesn't look that bad but I hate when people's hair perfectly, perfectly straight and flat against their scalp. Volume adds personality to hair i think. I try to get as much volume as I can in my hair because it's very thin and when it is volumized, it looks thicker and fuller.
Which Vans do you think better?
Q: Which look better?
Blue:

Black:

Suggestion: Well depends.
Blue-They get dirty easily because of the white rim. But I have a pair and I love Vans after they are worn out they look like a baby blue but a really ugly baby blue.
Black-My friend has a pair .They got holes quickly and after they are worn out they become this brown color.
By the way Vans start to burn you're feet if you wear them while on hot concrete, because they are rubber, I got that really bad at PE...

How to use "Chi Silk Infusion"?
Q: I just received my first bottle of Chi Silk Infusion.
I've see it used on dry hair, but I was wondering if you can use it on wet hair. Can it be used as a heat protector or give you more volume?
A: I love it! I've used it when my hair was wet and dry. When I put it on my hair wet or dry, it makes it softer, less frizzy and more manageable. It is not really a heat protector and doesn’t do anything to volume, but it makes your hair a lot less dull. It makes it look a lot healthier. I use chi iron guard 44 for heat protection and it works really good. That makes your hair less frizzy and more manageable too, and protects your hair really good.

What's the best way to scrub a bathtub?
Q: What's the best cleaner sold at a store to use to scrub the bathtub?
What works the best?
I need to get my bathtub to be white again
A: This may sound strange but I don’t use a special cleaner at all. First, put some really hot water in the bottom of the tub with a scoop of laundry detergent. I buy the big tub of commercial stuff from Costco and it works fantastically for all types of messes. Anyway, mix it all up, and then let it soak. Ideally, overnight. If you are okay with using a lot of water, fill it as much as you can or else just a few inches on the bottom. I have also used the water to wet a sponge and scrub the surrounding tile and shower but you can also make a paste with detergent too to scrub. It’s amazing cos it dissolves the soap scum so nicely. In the morning, empty the tub, scrub it lightly, rinse and check out the gorgeous shine. Mine just gleams after. Good luck!

Would your child have ended up in the dumpster?
Q: This is for mothers who have surrendered or relinquished a child for adoption to answer.
In a previous question it was suggested that if expectant mothers who are considering adoption aren't solicited for our children, then they would abandon or kill our children by leaving them in a dumpster or worse. So my question to you, mothers who have relinquished or surrendered a baby for adoption... would you have dumped your child in the dumpster?
A1: Of course not. That is delusional, and you can tell from the persons post that she has serious entitlement issues. It is amazing to me how much Pap’s and AP's want to belittle and stereotype the SOURCE of their supposed "miracle". A big red flag is when they do it BEFORE they have even adopted. That indicates there is serious damage that is going to be perpetrated on the adoptee.
Seems even if expectant mother chooses adoption, they are accused of throwing their child in a dumpster. We are damned no matter what we do.
The people that adopted my child told her that I was a drug addicted prostitute that threw her in a big city dumpster. I don't drink, and have never done drugs. I was raped by a neighbor that was unknowingly stalking me. I lived in a small country town, and am most definitely not even remotely promiscuous or have ever been. In fact, rape made me the opposite.
My daughter had to grow up with that falsified and completely ludicrous image of me (and herself, since she is part me). Thankfully, she wanted to see for herself what kind of trash she came from, and she found the truth. The only trash in her life was coming from the mouths of the ones who adopted her.
A2: No, my children wouldn't have ended up in dumpsters.
She did want adoption for them before they were born but that doesn't mean she doesn't love them. I think its rare for a child to be totally abandoned that way (At least in Australia it is.) I know of only three in 5 yrs (The babies were placed for adoption 6 months later after social services spent time searching for the mother but neither mother came forward.) one little newborn baby was buried recently that was found last year in a rubbish tip after they spent ages trying to find his mother for fear of her welfare and mental state. They never found her, and had a funeral for the baby.
I'd hate it if people said that to my kids or indicated that their first mother would do that.
So what is your option?

Who were the founders or who was the founder of Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA?
Q: Who were the founders or who was the founder of Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA?
A: The Mattel Foundation.
"A Unique Partnership -- The Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA
The complexion of pediatric medical care in Southern California was forever changed in November 1998 when Mattel announced that the Mattel Children's Foundation had pledged $25 million in a multi-year commitment toward construction of a new children's hospital at UCLA. In appreciation for Mattel's commitment, UCLA declared that both the existing facility and the new facility, which began construction in 2000 and will open in 2005, would be renamed the Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA.
A hospital within a hospital, the new Mattel Children's Hospital at UCLA, once completed, will occupy one entire floor of the new UCLA Medical Center, and will have its own distinct entrance and lobby.
With 100,000 square feet of space, the Mattel Children's Hospital will feature a 99-bed Inpatient Unit, 12-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, and a 20-bed level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, a distinction held for hospitals that serve the most critically ill children. The hospital is already recognized worldwide as a leader in neurology, nephrology, immunology, cardiology, molecular biology and genetics, pediatric pain, and hematology/oncology.
The stunning facility has been designed by world-renowned architect I.M. Pei, who also designed the Grand Louvre in Paris and the East Wing of the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Incorporating gracefully curving forms, natural light rooftop gardens, and spacious single rooms, the design of the new hospital reflects openness, provides flexibility for use of space, and, above all, is people-friendly.
Mattel's $25 million pledge, payable over multiple years, is the largest single commitment ever made by the Mattel Children's Foundation and the largest gift ever made to a children's hospital by a corporation or corporate foundation."
Is swine flu the final step in the Illuminati plan to drastically reduce the earth population?
Q: It's a proven fact that the Illuminati plans to reduce the earth’s population to fewer than 500,000,000. There bird flu didn't work as well as they intended, is the swine flu the ext and possibly final generation of the virus they intend to use to cull the heard so to speak? Is there anything we can do about it?
A: It is supposed that this is a beta test; for sure this disease is man-made to what end we don't know (That is unless you believe that Asian swine flu, European swine flu, US swine flu, avian flu and human influenza somehow combined and infected a small rural town in Mexico). The thing you must always bear in mind in cases like this is Who Benefits? Research it, of course the Illuminati "don't exist" do they? And for those sceptics out there I propose to you, no one ever died from stockpiling food and water.
(Hmm look Rumsfeld has stock in Tamiflu, interesting...)

The thing you must always bear in mind in cases like this is Who Benefits? Research it, of course the Illuminati "don't exist" do they? And for those sceptics out there I propose to you, no one ever died from stockpiling food and water.

Is the swine flu a genetically modified virus released on purpose?
Q: "People cannot get the swine flu from eating pork or pork products, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. And health officials say there is no evidence the flu originated from hogs. The new flu strain is a mix of genetic material from swine, avian and human flu viruses."
It’s a mix of swine, avian, and human flu viruses. Was this flu released on purpose to control population numbers?
A: Hmmm. I once read a book by Tom Clancy about a group of rich people and scientists who were going to create a disease and spread it by putting it in the body misters at the Sydney Olympics (So people from all over the world would get it, and then take it home) to control population.
This sounds like a minor version of that.
Let’s see April Vacation + vacationers= Mexico
However, it may be different.
It could be a USA plot to seal of the borders of the surrounding countries once and for all.
But I agree; we are not being told something. How did it jump to airborne? Why are we being told its not fatal when 138 people in Mexico have died from it? Why aren't politicians addressing it as much as they need to?
This flu is slinking its way into a massive pandemic, keep your eyes open ;)

What is the *fastest* download/upload speed avalaible in the world?
Q: Using current technologies, what is the fastest download/upload speed that can be achieved? 10 gigs per second? 70 gigs per second? >9000 gb/s?????
Who is probably using it? The U.S. army? The queen of England? NASA?
A: OC192 = 9,6 Gbps (4 times faster than OC48 connection)
Fiber Optic Cable = OC
Asker’s Rating:
Exactly what I was looking for, TY!
