How can you tell difference between girl and boy pants/shorts?

Q: Besides saying that fabric is thinner and color is dull, because I have no idea how to tell the difference of that. Also, I can’t really tell the crotch thing, so is there another way to tell the difference? Like the zipper or the pockets?

A: Usually guys’ pants/shorts when they are Levi’s are button up jeans because with a zipper you run the risk of getting caught in the zipper. As for shorts - the length on the pant leg and short leg are longer and the crotch area is longer too. For a girl's pant leg or short leg - the length is usually much smaller. Try them on and see how they look - if it looks like you have a bubble in the crotch most likely they are boy pants.
